HomeDIY & How toThe Best MAC Drugstore Makeup Dupes

I would say to ditch the liquid foundation and only use it in the winter time when its more drier and stick with the studio fix powder. If you have really oily skin like mine, then id recommend this and a really good primer like urban decays one that mattifies the skin. When I finally got round to Mac on a day it wasn’t swarmed with girls I picked up Mac Studio Fix Powder Plus. I choose Mac over other brands I’d seen on Youtube because of their shade range. I have very pale skin which often is too light for pharmacy (drugstore) foundations. The Studio Fix Power has a massive 49 shades.

The Best Makeup Dupes Which Really Work

1. MAC Prep & Prime VS Rimmel Stay Matte Primer

Do you love MAC’s primer? You can get the same finish for a fraction of the price with Rimmel’s matte primer. MAC Prep + Prime costs $30, while Rimmel’s primer will only set you back $6.47, saving you $13.50 just by making the switch.

2. MAC Studio Face & Body Foundation VS Maybelline FIT me! Foundation

MAC’s popular face and body foundation is known for its lightweight coverage and natural finish. Surprisingly, Maybelline’s FIT me! foundation offers the same coverage and finish as well. What’s the price difference? You can get the MAC foundation at $42 and the Maybelline Fit Me! for only $7.

3. MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation VS Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder

If MAC’s Studio Fix Powder Plus foundation has been a staple in your makeup kit, but you find the price to be getting more expensive by the day, why not give Rimmel’s Stay Matte Pressed Powder a try? The Studio Fix is priced at around $35 and the Stay Matte powder is only $6.50. They show the same finish and the same coverage, but the price difference is huge!

4. MAC Studio Fix Concealer VS NYX Full Coverage Concealer

MAC’s Studio Fix concealer is a product women swear by. If getting one jar after another is too costly, give NYX Full Coverage concealer a try. The price difference? $14. MAC concealer is priced at $19 while the one from NYX is only $5.

5. MAC Melba Powder Blush VS NYX Mauve Powder Blush

The MAC Melba blush is inside a lot of professional makeup artist’s kit and is priced at $22, while the NYX Mauve blush is priced between $5.99 to $7.50. What a big price difference considering the color and finish are identical. Savings for a blush!

6. MAC Mineralize SkinFinish Gold Deposit VS Makeup Revolution Vivid ‘Rock On World’ Baked Bronzer

If you’re looking for a bronzer which is very close to the shade of MAC’s Mineralize SkinFinish in Gold Deposit, the closest thing you can buy is Makeup Revolution’s Rock On World Baked Bronzer. Although Rock On World is slightly lighter, the price difference makes it an essential buy. Gold Deposit is priced at around $37 while Rock On World only costs around $6.

7. MAC Nylon Eyeshadow VS NYX Barely There Eyeshadow

Looking for a cheaper alternative to MAC’s Nylon eyeshadow as your highlighter? Well next in line is the NYX Barely There Eyeshadow. Look how they are almost identical. Nylon is priced at $16 while Barely There will only cost you $4.

8. MAC Eyeshadows VS Drugstore Dupes

9. MAC Spiked Eyebrow Pencil VS Maybelline Define-A-Brow

Hey Guys & Dolls i have an interesting little blog for use today if you are a MAC Fix Fluid addict! Have you ever used Revlon? No? YOU SHOULD! There foundations are just a lot AMAZE BALLS! I found with my abundance of knowledge when it comes to make up (i joke) :0 that Revlon colourstay is a f' off to the hills too good! They are i think £12.45 for one:

They come in two different types of foundations, one for oily/combination and one for dry/normal. As you can guess Dry/Normal is more moisturising and Oily/Combination is for Oily skin! They last alllllllllllll day seriously they do not move! Which is why i <3 them! I have more of a Dry skin and i use to the Oily/Combination foundation, i just moisturise well before using them!
MAC is £19.50:

MAC Fix Fluid is brilliant foundation also i would say it medium to buildable foundation, i would say it would last 5/6 hrs not as long as Revlon and i would start to get quite shinny around the usual spots (nose, forehead chin.) Here is a good video about MAC's foundation range:

So there is a good we bargain to be had if you want to try them instead of MAC Fix Fluid. However i would recommend them just to the NW lovers as there shades i feels have more pink undertones, but they do have one or two neutral shades in there to i would use Nude and I’m a NC25 however there is very little yellow pigment in comparison to my beloved Simpson look! This shade i would use when my tan has worn of a good bit but still the colour is very good & suits allot of skins so have a little nosey!
I would apply my MAC studio fix fluid with a MAC 187:

I would apply my Revlon colour stay with a Illamasqua highlighter brush:
Before applying my Revlon & studio fix i would spray my face with this bad boy which i also use for my eyebrows (see my eyebrow post)

It just makes the application easier and you can alter the coverage of the foundation.
They also carry a foundation called Revlon photoready Makeup. This foundation I’m in love with ATM! Would not be suitable for oily skins but it has a little glow base to it and its perfect for summer. The shades are far better than the Colour stay. So if you like a little glow to your skin have a look at these also:
